There is nothing quite like bundling up in your cozy Fall sweater, wrapping a blanket scarf around yourself, and heading out in search of the best pumpkin spice latte that you can get your hands on. But in LA, this just isn’t a reality until the end of November. We love pumpkin spice everything but not that much. So how do we survive the heat and still get our pumpkin spice on? Thanks to Magpies Softserve, we can have our pumpkin spice and eat it, too. All without breaking a sweat.
Rose and Warren, the mastermind chefs behind the new pumpkin spice latte flavored soft serve (which is also vegan, for those wondering) wanted to create their own take on the traditional coffee shop favorite. The two decided to open up an all-scratch soft serve ice cream shop that featured flavors and toppings that were made in house and unique to them.
“Rose and I both love fall and all the flavors that come with it. We wanted to do a play on the coffee-house version of pumpkin spice latte, but instead of extract or powdered pumpkin flavor, we use real pumpkin purée. Our guests love the result!”
This guest especially loved the result. Their dedication to using the best quality and authentic ingredients really pays off. Unlike many pumpkin spice flavored treats, this one is smooth and just the right amount of sweet. It tastes like real pumpkin. Think of the best pumpkin pie you’ve ever had then imagine it swirled into a waffle cone and topped with graham cracker crumble. Magic.
Not only do they make a killer pumpkin spice latte flavor but there are a ton of other flavors, too. Right now, their menu is chock full of other amazing flavors such as cookie butter and maple brown sugar. If you’re worried about missing out on a certain flavor that you love, you can also take some home with you by way of their pints and pies. Yes, I said pie.
The best part? You no longer have to trek all the way out to Silverlake to try some of the best soft serve in LA. If you’re in the Valley, they just opened up a location in Tarzana off of Ventura at Wilbur. If you didn’t know, now you know. You’re welcome.
